My Evening With Seth

The very idea of spending hours in bed with Seth Rogen is enough to make a number of women (and some men) swoon. Last night I did just that.

Through modern technology (my Ipod), I got to snuggle down under my pretty comforter and enjoy Seth's antics for a while.

First was Knocked Up with the lovely Katherine Heigel.

Overall I did not find this movie a waste of my time. However I just could not figure out the relationship between the two lead characters. There was zero chemistry, there were no one moment of "AH HA" for them. I still don't get it.

In fact there was more chemistry between Paul Rudd's character, Pete, and Rogen's Ben, than any other characters in the movie.

Don't get me wrong, I laughed. I was proud of Ben for getting his life together, and I was most impressed with two subtle tributes to one of my favorite movies Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas, and did I mention how adorable that baby was.

Not to say that it isn't plausible that these two could get together and make it work, but there was something lacking in the connection. The only time I saw a real connection and fire between them was during the very loud screaming fight that they had in the doctor's office. However that may just be a reflection on my own experience.

I must admit the movie was cute and funny. I did enjoy Rogen and I hope to see much more of him (but not his naked ass), I just felt that there was something lacking.

Next up in my Rogenfest was Superbad.

Very much along the lines of many of my very favorite teen angsty movies, with much more obscene language and many more references to sex.

First I have to say how adorable Michael Cera is. I loved him in Arrested Development and I can't wait to see Juno.
The movie was funny and required little to no thought which is perfect for the genre.

Hijinks ensue, but they are important because they are all in the pursuit of booze and ultimately sex.

As Officer Michaels, Rogen was an added pleasure to the movie.

There were moments of pure hilarity in both movies, I would suggest that if you want some laughs and you have some time to kill, check them out.

Love,
J
